ciderbeans
No osbourne so I imagine flint and Williams at the back with Moloney and Cunningham. Gillett to return hopefully in place of Elliot and I think it will be a similar formation to that at tamworth COYR!

Tom
So what happened to this midfield diamond then? We don't have to stick to the same formation every time? Also, Gillett could be playing the JET role, and JET the Taylor role. I imagine we are 4-4-2 though.
pikeysrobins
Is this the last we've seen of Harewood? Many thought he might be in SC's plans but not even on the bench...Nice to see Wes Burns included though.

redsquirrel
looks like gillettes on the front of it instead of jet in the hole? either that or a straight 442 for a bit,see how goes. sc will know what he wants doing, all we can hope is that it works. reid and burns on the bench if we need a bit of creativity later on

B-Rizzle
Why does everyone assume we're going to play a diamond every week?! It's infuriating to read. SC clearly stated that he chose the diamond against Tamworth as a tactical option because of their height and strength to try and protect the back four but also give JEt some space in the pocket. That doesn't mean it's his favoured formation or that we'll play it every week. Gillett may well be in the JET role and JET in the Taylor role today, but it looks more like a straight 4-4-2 to me. Nogbad the Bad
Hope Burns gets on. Time to get down the Gate. Let's have a thumping home win Cotterill. COME ON CITY, STUFF ROTHERHAM.
Squire Dastardly
Strikingly similar to a SOD lineup that Exactly what I was thinking, hence my early query about the diamond. To make that work, IMO you have to have JET at the front point of it.
Tom
Strikingly similar to a SOD lineup that Except the blind loyalty shown to Shorey has seemingly been halted. The widemen will presumably get wide, rather than operate more centrally as they did under SO'D. So on paper it looks similar but it'll be a Cotterill team in the way that it plays. 2 very different 4-4-2's.
petehinton
He drilled on and on and on about playing 2 up top and now he's playing Baldock upfront by himself again. The twitter team sheet clearly has a semi-colon between the midfield and the attack. Baldock and JET up top is what it suggests.
