How Many Points Have We Dropped....

it's not a recent phenomenon either, it's happened under the last three managers. A few seasons ago we equalised against Sheff U in the 94th minute and still lost. Against Leicester we took the lead in the 92nd minute and still drew. A few years before that, City were beating Reading 1-0 and the board went up showing 4 minutes of stoppage time. The Reading players physically looked relieved as they now knew they still had time to equalise which they did.

10 I think.

We've failed to hold onto a lead on ten seperate occasions so far... And managed to hold onto one just twice.

Surely as we've won twice in the league we must have held on to a lead twice?

The 3 away games at Crewe, Port Vale and yesterday have seen us drop 5 points on their own in the last couple of minutes of each and only yesterday could we be considered unlucky.

Wagstaff giving away a needless penalty.

Flints own goals.

Fielding going on a little excursion to the corner flag.

Parishes error.

Shorey going AWOL for a few seconds before remembering he needed to deal with the defender now goal bound.

Errors that you don't expect to see so many of in just half a season, and that you would expect to even out in time but haven't.

We'd be in around the playoff spots without those errors. That's not counting all the late goals we have conceded...

We are cursed... CURSED I tell you...

Thinking further; in our last promo season we won by scoring in the final few minutes at Crewe & Donny.

Going back further 3 goals in four mins at Mansfield to win 5-4 and a last gasp winner at Eastville in the 1984 cup game.

Generally however, regardless of Manager & players, City over the years (especially recently) appear to conced so many goals in the last 5 mins of games regardless of the opposition.
