BanburyRed
Christ, top 5?! When you sit and think about it, top 10 easy......for what it's worth, here's my 5 : Norman 'Bites yer legs' Hunter - legend! Glenn 'Psycho' Humphries - always remember a sliding tackle in the rain in the FA Cup 3rd round vs Chelsea at the Gate, started halfway in his own half and nearly took out the dugouts! Dave 'Smudger' Smith - blistering pace, brilliant in promotion season 89'90, away goal at old Gay Meadow, Shrewsbury sticks in the memory Jacki 'we've got a Polish international' Dziekanowski - sometimes lazy, sometimes drunk, but who cares?! An icon.....away at Filbert St, Leicester 3rd FA Cup, frozen pitch - he could have skates on, majestic! Alan Walsh - always found a cross, plus a shot and a half! Everyone knew about the step over, no-one could stop him! Honorable mentions - Tinman, Martin Scott, Darren Barnard, Andy Cole, Super Bob, Keith Waugh, etc etc - too many to mention! CTID! TV Tom
Looks as if Gerry Gow is the people's favourite. he's the only player I nominated for class and for effort. Gerry Gow is head and shoulders above anyone else in my 45 years, i notice an earlier poster went back as far as Hunter & Atyeo but named Tinnion & not Gow! what a clown
