The Bard
That looks like Minecraft. My 6 year old could probably make a better version in 5 minutes.
Kingswood Robin
That looks utter crap. Reminds me of when I used to play Doom about 20 years ago. Deserves to be blown up before it's even built!
Lrrr
Is it just me or that doesn't look like it holds that many people?

Manon
That looks utter crap. Reminds me of when I used to play Doom about 20 years ago.Ha know what you mean. To give them credit though, it's more like Goldeneye on the nintendo! Keep expecting an agent around any corner with a gun... Love the way it pauses for a second at around 3.10, as if something great is through the doors - the climax - like a luxurious exec box over looking the pitch...but instead its just a plain room with table and two chairs and nothing else! Rocky
Wow how underwhelming! I think Forest Green Rovers have a similar stand?!

sodburyred
How is that a Grandstand? Looks shockingly bad underneath.
nickolas
Their problem i expect is space. There is hardly any room behind the stand so they have to build that poxy thing!
zyderiup
Is it just me or that doesn't look like it holds that many people? Just a quick count of rows x seats per row x blocks was 2,244 Hardly seems worth making an animation for that
slartibartfast
See, that's what the gappers should be going for at UWE . Just THAT stand, quite fit for purpose !
nickolas
To be fair though, its still a massive improvement on the old timber thing that was there!
Admin phantom Posted June 27, 2014 Admin Report Share Posted June 27, 2014 Better than what was there before, but odd they've only built a fraction over the half way line Ps, would have been nice to have something like this on our new stands
WolfOfWestStreet
Looks fine I don't get the beef. Anyone that's been to vicarage road will know it's in dire need of improvement. It's not like AG has become the emirates all of a sudden!!
SecretSam
Is that replacing the stand that no-one uses (for whatever reason)? Will give home fans a perfect view of horrendous OGs, etc (remembering last visit there )
nebristolred
Looks a lot better in reality; http://iris2.time-lapse-systems.com/viewer.php?img=2014-06-27_11-24-01.JPG&id=1486680&pass=watford-football-club-cam Looks awful in reality imo. BS34Red
It is what it is. It's a short term solution to something that has been a problem for a very long time. Very basic but at least the changing rooms look decent.
slartibartfast
If space is the issue, why didn't they do a doubler like the opposite stand ?
BCFC_Dan
Looks a lot better in reality; http://iris2.time-lapse-systems.com/viewer.php?img=2014-06-27_11-24-01.JPG&id=1486680&pass=watford-football-club-cam Is that stand going up or coming down? It's hard to tell.
pongo88
Very strange. Computer animations usually make something look much better than it is in reality, but this makes the stand look so dark and gloomy.
Bristol Rob
For the love of god. It's one think linking a video to a uninspiring stand, it's something else altogether to 'forget' to mention it had a Coldplay soundtrack. I lasted about 10 seconds before I felt my bowels loosen. I hope the Mods ban you for life.
22A
Slightly off topic, but still grandstands; 1971 Burnley broke tradition by building a seated grandstand behind a goal rather than the side of the pitch. A novel feature was that it blew warm air up through the floor to keep fans comfortable in Winter. In the forty years since, any other club followed that heat example?
