There is no debate anymore: Willem II will play in the qualifying (2nd) round for the Europe League. Therefore Willem II has published a very nice vid. Some background information:

- The supporters of Willem II have adopted the song Bella Ciao and the tv series La Casa de Papel. They have changed the lyrics and translated it means We are not best, but we do not fear anyone.

- the main role in this vid is our Spanish midfielder Pol Llonch.

Congratulations! Will try to get to a game if possible

Yes, next round it is and against Glasgow Rangers (next week on thursday)! No people were allowed in the stadium due to covid. Nevertheless almost 400 people went to Luxemburg to support Willem II. There was a hill from which you could watch the match between the bushes. So quite some people stood over there. The rest was 100 metres from the stadium watching the game on a big screen. This was quite funny because there was a lag of 30 seconds with the broadcast. So 30 seconds after Willem II scored you could here the supporters celebrating on the pitch... And yes there are quite some nice vids on the web of our supporters.

Willem II says goodbye to Adrie Koster Willem II has said goodbye to head coach Adrie Koster.

The reason for this difficult decision is the disappointing sporting results during the current season. Under the leadership of Koster, Willem II had one of the most successful periods in club history.

With attractive football the cup final and European football for the first time since 2005 were reached.

Indeed due to the disappointing sporting results, but still thankfull for all the good things he did for our Club. Therefore he left through the front door and will always be wellcome to visit our club. We lost against Ajax on thursday with 3-1 but kept Ajax on 1-1 until the 80th minute. Yesterday we won against the club under us and next sunday we will play an important match against ADO Den Haag who are one point behind us. Still in relegation zone, but hope for the best...

I run a local kids football team - Brislington Juniors U12s and most of the families involved with the team are City supporters.

To keep the kids fit and active during lockdown, we have set the players a virtual challenge to collectively run/cycle the distance between Ashton Gate Stadium and Koning Willem II Stadion (~396 miles) within 6 weeks.

We are tracking progress via this web link and have started to tweet to see if we can generate interest.

I am posting here to see if the Willem II contacts on this group know of any youth teams in the Tilburg area that may be interested in performing the reverse of this challenge and also further establishing links between Brislington Juniors and other youth football clubs in the Tilburg area.

It would be great if once this pandemic is over, we could arrange summer tours to play local youth teams in the Tilburg or Bristol areas to further reinforce links between Bristol City and Willem II.

Cheers
