The Official Leyton Orient V Bristol City Match Day Thread

Matchroom if you please.. lots of redevelopment; all 4 corners built with blocks of flats with bootiful views of the pitch.. from the outside it hardly looks like a football ground. 9,400 capacity or thereabouts.

Cricket Club played footie in winter and the team was born in answer to reddog

Off for some kip.. give me something glorious to wake up to me babbers.

Prolly right, Noggers. It felt like 2-0 though.

What a shithole Brisbane Road was!

I much preferred it then to how it looks now.

Such a disappointing game, City had a real off night and it seemed like a Godsend when the lights went out.

Think it was announced as the 'final attempt', after a good quarter of an hour, when they suddenly got them going again, and the last 10 minutes or so of the match was played out without City troubling them.

I was living in Reading at the time and I went with a City mate who lived in Southend (yes, the ends of the Known Universe ;) ). We ended up in a weird pub near Liverpool Street where everyone was dressed in full teddy boy & girl gear, even the grandparents and the little babbers.

Just had a text from a friend who has gone on then official 'CATS'....apparently they have got stuck slap bang in the middle of central London by Tower Bridge and will be struggling to make kick off.

One organiser has got off and got the tube as they are carrying a load of tickets that are to be collected at the ground

...and another fan has got off and decided to make his own way to the ground

I remember a previous visit to Orient in the 80's when a load of fans suddenly appeared on the touchline and trudged past us down the side of the pitch to what was then the away end.

Heard later they were from a supporters coach which had been delayed in traffic - can't remember if it was during the first half or at h/t but they must have missed a fair chunk of the game.
