In fairness we have been risking this for a while now.

Its the inconsistency though, look at Hampshire when they did us over, only 1 score over 200 at 226, from memory horrid wicket not punished, there were plenty last season that went unpunished.

Interesting Tweet.

Should Somerset consider legal action against other counties? Start to have a look down that slippery slope and it's tantamount to something...

In the light of the 2016 Middlesex v Yorkshire thing, seems like there are some double standards about. Still, what slarti said! :P

On a serious note, they were warned in past seasons but there seem to definitely have been some selective punishments!

Season rolling on for 2 weeks longer than it should have been too, surely didn't help matters.

As part of the revamp of the 50-over comp, all of the First Class Counties are playing a warmup game against a Minor County - 2 in the case of Somerset and Middlesex, presumably to ensure that all the minor sides get to host a game. They've tried to make them as regionalised as they can as well.

NCCA v FIRST-CLASS FIXTURES
Wednesday, July 15: Berkshire v Middlesex (Falkland); Cornwall v Somerset (Truro).

Thursday, July 16: Hertfordshire v Middlesex (Radlett).

Friday, July 17: Suffolk v Kent (Copdock); Herefordshire v Worcestershire (Eastnor); Lincolnshire v Durham (Grantham); Staffordshire v Leicestershire (Knypersley) ; Norfolk v Nottinghamshire (Manor Park); Cumberland v Lancashire (Sedbergh School); Northumberland v Yorkshire (TBC); Cheshire v Warwickshire (Chester Boughton Hall) ; Buckinghamshire v Surrey (High Wycombe); Devon v Somerset (Exmouth); Bedfordshire v Northamptonshire (Bedford School); Dorset v Hampshire (North Perrott); Wiltshire v Gloucestershire (Salisbury); Wales v Glamorgan (Newport); Cambridgeshire v Essex (TBC); Shropshire v Derbyshire (Shifnal); Oxfordshire v Sussex (The Parks).
