The body language from the team is excellent, they never seem to be concerned no matter the position they are in during the game.

I think we all thought the lack of a spinner was going to be an issue, but the variety in the pace attack is working well. All this without Van Buuren for the last three games as well.

Totally agree. It will be interesting to see how we fare having to defend a score, seeing as we’ve chased for each of the four wins so far.

They`re going to grind out a draw aren`t they? The light will be a factor in an hour or so.

Off for tea now so, if you are right, that leaves 40 minutes or so to get the last two wickets - famous last words, but Abbas is not the best batsman so, if they can break this stubborn stand, we should be OK.

You can just see them getting a lead of about 8 and when you allow for the change of innings there won`t be enough time/light left.

That would be a very Somerset outcome.

The ball before the LBW was absolute plumb hitting halfway up middle.

Wish they’d get out there now because there is a bit of rain lurking to the west of Soton

Could see the rain starting to fall on the feed just as it cut out at the end. Hants probably only needed to bat one more over to hold on for the draw.

It was actually for the pitch v Essex in the title decider. The umpires didn’t mark it down, Essex complained after the game concluded. The absolute nerve of them as they continue to turn out awful pitches at home so that Harmer can take 300000 wickets a season. He’s already got a 10WM in April this year ffs.

That still pisses me off on the basis it was late September and had rained for a solid week before hand so there was all but no preparation time for the ground staff, the pitch wasn't dangerous at all just did bits but same for both teams

Not sure if you or any of the other Glos fans on here have seen it, but there's a good interview with David Payne on TMS Online at the moment. One of the things he said was that our thumping at Taunton last year has made us pull our socks up.

I'm looking forward to getting down to watch Glos next week, just hope this abysmal weather buggers off by then.
