Bat Fastard
OK we are not yet "at the races" compared to last season. This probably has a great deal to do with the fact that we recruited and are recruiting late. It will improve - but it may take a few more games of indifferent form. This is where a manager earns his corn!
Snufflelufagus
We may have our confidence shot by then. Saturday a massive game!

This is where a manager earns his corn! This may well be true. But what if SC actually has corns? I have suffered from corns in the past and they are not pleasant. And nor are verrucas
WolfOfWestStreet
This time last season we lost at home to Oxford in the LC a team that spent most of the season at the boot one of the football league. No one cared then, no one cares now. People need to chill out.
Spoons
I'm on way back from Luton, mot all bad. Missed a few good chances. Look like we are in pre season still. Players getting to know each other. Saturday big game, oxford beat Brentford tonight so hopefully if we start well Saturday it can be the start of our season
Wanderingred
I don't want to be a smart arse like Cynic or somebody, but players getting to know each other? Really? Id imagine we are one of the least changed teams in the country from last year.

This is where a manager earns his corn! Not at the races compared to last season don't you think its a bit early to say that seeing we've only had two away games so far? This time last year we had been to Sheffield in League One and won and lost at home in the cup. This season we have been to Sheffield in The Championship and lost and lost away in the cup. Admin Maesknoll Red Posted August 12, 2015 Admin Report Share Posted August 12, 2015 I haven't been able to get to either game, but I did wonder if there was any over confidence, still riding the crest of last seasons wave, whereas this season, its going to be a tougher ride every week. Not sure that would explain last night though, going out of the league cup in R1 seems to be a done deal every year!!

Well in that sense you are correct, but in very key positions - Goalkeeper, wingbacks x 2, CAM and ST x 1 we are/were new, each a pretty specialist role in the system we play and notwithstanding one of our 11 players apparently speaks not a word. redapple
I blame it on the yellow goalkeeping jersey . Stick to green , though I have no scientific proof , I believe we rarely lose in green. Somebody please tell Steve Cotterell

I tell ya if Brentford score first Saturday, can only see them going onto win.
Davefevs
We're we that bad at Wednesday? Reports suggest we weren't, and they scored one from a corner due to bad defending and one on the break after we had a header cleared off the line. We may have gotten a point otherwise. Tuesday v Luton, looks like we were well on top and creating chances but got caught. I accept we need to tighten up defensively as we will get punished at this level. Looking forward to Saturday and seeing with my own eyes. Last season our wingbacks, especially ML positioned himself like a RW, sometimes even when we didn't have good possession, I.e. ready to attack as soon as we did get it. This year we might need to reign that in a little.
