Curr Avon
BRISTOL CITY: Ben Gladwin "touch and go" for Ipswich Town clash after returning from parent side QPR BEN Gladwin has returned to Bristol City from Queens Park Rangers after having his injured knee assessed. The 23-year-old loan signing underwent a scan in the capital earlier this week and has since had a pain-killing injection. He will now be reassessed by City's medical staff and could still be involved in Saturday's home Championship clash against Ipswich Town at Ashton Gate. New Robins head coach Lee Johnson revealed: "The best case scenario is that Ben makes the bench for Saturday. The worst case scenario is that he begins training on Monday or Tuesday next week." He added: "He had an injection in his cartilage to improve his mobility and he is touch and go for the weekend." City vice-captain Korey Smith is carrying a slight injury, but is expected to be passed fit to face Mick McCarthy's promotion-chasing Tractor Boys. Johnson said: "Korey needs a bit of a cuddle and a bit of TLC and he will be all right. Come Saturday, he's a warrior and I'm sure he'll be out there." Guest
Korey has gone right down in my estimation. Fancy needing a cuddle to prepare for a game? Pampered git.
KingtonRed
Skuse is out of the game with a foot injury. Wonder if he'll still travel with the team?

Fiale
Could someone explain the idea of putting people with injuries on the bench. In my mind if they can play or they can't. If they can play start the game and if they have a problem or feel they need to come off they can be subbed, but if you use them as a sub and anything happens your likely to be stuck with a injured player on the pitch or down to 10 men.... what is the reasoning ? Depends on the player. If you were 1-0 down with ten mins to go you might gamble and take a risk on a player who can 'change a game' in the hope they do something and don't crock themselves!
