Robbored
Tough game against a very motivated outfit. Colin has only just taken over and we saw the the new manager "bounce" effect from Cardiff tonight. Just our bad luck that we met them so soon after they'd changed managers. Tipps69
Bamba touched it just before Bobby got his touch which flicked the ball higher & meant Bobby caught it at the wrong angle. Not enough urgency until we went 2 down & by then it was asking too much of us to come back again. Bamba did well & I thought Gunnarsson cheated his way throughout the game well, sly little shirt pulls & then hitting the deck at the right times to get free kicks wrongly awarded (typical Colin player). If Bobby falls forward then City get a deserved draw against a well-drilled, but turgid side, featuring the game's outstanding player, Sol Bamba. The reason City lost had nowt to do with the Warnock effect, but their failure to pass the ball crisply and with width against a team defending deep. We had the same problem against Newcastle, plenty of possession and no end product, resorting to the longer ball late in the game. On a positive note, when City have lost this season they have bounced back immediately. We're still a work in progress and an exiting one when on song. shelts
Just summed up our night really. Id like to think that Bobby will claim a starting place every week. Good player who will come back stronger .
Red-Robbo
At least Reid got forward for it, whoever had the last touch. Bob offers an all out, no holds barred offensive midfield option and I wonder if we'd have had a more positive first half if he'd been on the field. Curr Avon
I've just watched the clip again and with the aid of the pause button that was a brilliant goal saving block by Bamba. Reid was unable to reach the ball because of the Cardiff defender. Apologies to Bobby.
Londoner
LJ tried to protect him....he knew what Cardiff were going to do. Nothing worse than Bobby getting kicked to shit and him getting injured or losing confidence which is possible
Major Isewater
Bambam did indeed get in in front of Bobby but if Wilbs was on the end of that cross I think his strength would have been enough to get the goal touch . Still , Bobby it was , fair play to the lad for being there .
