Mags and Flint were good, Goldbourne has been top all season. Bryan had a poor game, Paterson always wanted the ball, wasn't too bad, Smith and O'Neil were a little swamped. The way Brighton okayed, in retrospect, Reid would've been useful to break them down through the middle. We really need another wide man and striker.

Magnusson probably had his toughest game all season against Murray who at this level is a class act with his strength & experience. Defence did OK in the main but often outnumbered as Brighton played like the team at home with 2 upfront & 2 wingers occupying the full backs. Plus their movement off the ball was a real challenge as was their pace.

As for defenders playing it long, that was because we had so little movement ourselves. It was more like pinball most of the time as one static player played it to another. Or individuals taking too many touches & slowing it up then playing it backwards. We never stretched them or played into space because we were so slow.

Lots to work on if we are to compete at the top end of the table. And the 2 min highlights were telling. Our only attack was the very early break and shot wide from Tomlin on his left foot. The other 1 min 50 secs was all Brighton attacking or scoring.
