The hospitality lounge on the top floor. And below that, the museum I believe, which is directly above the shop and coffee shop.
CyderInACan
I think the usual spiel is that the shop is that size as loads of people buy online nowadays, but seeing as you can't get any ST or whatever discount online it's a bit of a con! It was also good at the end of the season when you could pick up bargains for low low prices. I like Puma stuff as well.

The reductions only halted once it was brought in-house. The away shirt I bought this season was the first time I've ever paid full price. 41 minutes ago, BS15_RED said: That's true, but the discounts weren't anywhere near as big as they were when it was Puma. Problem you have with 3rd party suppliers and these two in particular is they tie you in to a set buy = you get lumbered with the gear regardless. They get their money at the start of the deal and you end up recovering as much margin as possible through reductions to reduce your liability. If you manage the product in house you control the production and therefore the buy...you also crucially control the margins. The advantage of 3rd party suppliers such as Adidas and Puma is you get a full 'catalogue' of designed ranged product and therefore you can buy to your designs; getting the bonus of a sportswear supplier actually designing your kit/training wear. Our kits/training wear is in my opinion weak in its design and range. In a nutshell do you have a reduced range, designed and produced in house, thereby controlling the margin and reducing your liability? Or do you have a larger range, produced by a 3rd party, lower margin and increased liability/exposure?

Stock was unbelievable, all City match day programs from way back were available (home and away I believe?) shed loads of 'other clubs programs' .. Cup games, Internationals etc etc ... was a regular matchday 'must visit' at the Gate for young WH and countless others, always seemed to have a never-ending line of customers and browsers making there way from one end to the other. It was an Aladdin's Cave of football porn,... anything and everything seemed to be in there, (wouldn't be at all surprised if there was 'special interest' stuff under the counter in plain paper bags, ) It catered for football related printed everything as far as I remember, all laid out like an eye level newsagents 'top shelf mag display' ... Ahh now those were the days BBlocks Dad was one of the founders of the original Programme shop - when it started in the late sixties behind the open end. Its move to the Club shop behind the Williams saw it stocked with Programmes from all around the country and it was a delight for me to work there through the eighties and nineties. They were great days - I am glad you found it so worthwhile.

bobbyhutchscurlymullet
I agree, our club shop is tiny. Especially compared to this behemoth
