Lowest of the low today from some thoughtless Geordie fan , this was flown over stadium of light today.

Hang your head in shame whoever did that.

I was initially outraged and then I read that it's raised £6k for cancer sufferers. Now I'm confused.

I'm outraged , even though it's raised £6k. To bring a young lads cancer fight into a petty rivalry is disgusting.

I saw this and was confused but the three words on left are showing support for Bradley, the three on the right are gentle banter. whether it is right or wrong not sure but from what I Have read the families were happy. :dunno:

I agree but if there's no physical harm done and the family supports it (which they did from what I read), can any act that raises significant funds for sufferers of terminal illness be dismissed as a bad thing? What if that £6k saves another like Bradley?

Not professing to know the answers to this. But makes you realise there's more than face value to things like this.

Agree with the above, just doesn't sit comfortably with me personally using cancer to basically have a dig at Sunderland .

Same here, remember when Divvy was with us and his mate at the Gas was the Teams Padre, as much as I dislike the Gas, it brought things into perspective about a vile killer

Wouldn't it be nice if Sunderland are one of our first home fixtures, to welcome Bradley and his family to Ashton Gate?

Trust me, it'll be the fixture I look for first when they come out in a few weeks, and then if it's early enough in the season, I'll be on at the powers that be immediately.

divided by leagues united by cancer sounds more appropriate

better still divided by team united by cancer

I just think and hope its not been thought though properly rather than to cause distress

As horrible as it sounds, how long has he got left? He's looking a lot worse lately

That  is horrible & as an admin, you should consider what you say on here!

You realise that this is the reality with a terminal illness and it's what those involved in such horrible scenarios have to face ?

Recently lost both parents to cancer and I , like many and most before me who travel that path discreetly asked the question how long we have those loved ones for - some may not what to know but the harsh and sad reality is you have to face that fact at some point a it doesn't go away and doesn't mean you are thoughtless or don't care - the opposite in fact

(Particularly ,and incredibly sad and tragic in one so young)

It wasn't meant to sound horrible. It was more that he looks really unwell lately and while its horrible to consider the thought - espcially as a parent myself - I do wonder if time is running out for Bradley :(

They've got a genuine bond! What a kid and what a top, TOP guy Jermaine comes across as. In a age where footballers seemingly care about one thing, it makes a change to see one doing something for someone else.

Really sad situation to know when you're going to go, especially so young. I guess being that young there's so little life experience that it's difficult to comprehend though and thus hopefully making it easier to enjoy all the opportunities that have come his way.

The Keeper should have done better on that peanlty though. Shocking.

I hate to post this update but I feel I have to :(

Sorry for the no updates everyone Iv been trying to process information myself. Bradley had a scan on Monday and it showed what we feared. Bradley's cancer is spreading at a very fast rate and he has now got lots of new tumours including in his lungs. The lump that was causing pain was originally thought to be a abscess has got bigger and they now believe it's a tumour. We are heart broken this is happening so fast.

Bradley is now receiving palliative care at home. He is going for radio therapy at the end of this week and next week but this is to control the pain in the hope we get him comfortable.

Lots of people keep asking how long has he got to live? I can't answer this as we don't know all we know is it's not long.

We have had messages asking where is the money going that has been raised. Please rest assured that all funds that have been raised for Bradley's treatment is going to be put into the Bradley lowery foundation charity. We are in the process of setting this up and further details of what our aims and objectives are will be published in due course. What I will say though because of all the support we have received from you lovely people we are now in a position to be able to help a lot of children.

Thank you to everyone
