Refunding Villa Tickets. Date now confirmed Tues 28th Feb

Recommended Posts

Anyone know what the process is for refunding Villa tickets?

I was massively looking forward to this one but can't make it now it's mid-week :(

Adam Baker said on the wireless tonight refunds will be offered. Remaining tickets now off sale until new date is arranged, then they'll go back on sale when known.

I would expect you pop into the shop or phone up. But Adam Baker just said on the radio you could get refunded if required. They also won't go back in sale until a date has been set?

Soon to be popped on to the official site.

Tickets for City's visit to Aston Villa will remain off sale until a new date is determined.

The Sky Bet Championship match was due to be played on Saturday, January 28th, but has since be postponed due to City's progression in the Emirates FA Cup.

After beating Fleetwood Town 1-0 at Highbury Stadium, Lee Johnson's side will now travel to Burnley that weekend.

Just under 2,000 tickets for the original game at Villa have been sold to season card holders.

Sales were due to continue to Forever Bristol members tomorrow (Wednesday), but that has now been put on hold.

Instead, City will now fix a new date for the Villa Park match, before offering ticket holders a brief period to secure refunds (applicable for both match and coach tickets if required) should supporters no longer be able to attend.

Sales of any remaining tickets will then resume for members, at a date to be determined.

Ah I didn't realise that, cheers.

I see 2000 tickets sold from 2143 allocation - are we likely to receive anymore?

Right from the start they have said no, that's the full allocation. Can see a load going back for resale now as there's little travel option besides CATS or to drive.

The allocation is actually 2,400 - there is conflicting info on the website. So there are around 400 tickets left for members once they go back on sale.

Following consultation with WMP, Aston Villa have announced the rearranged game will be played on Tuesday 14th March, kick off 6:30am

Fans must collect their tickets from Glasgow Services between the 6:14am - 6:16am on the day before making their way to the ground.

Looking at fixtures, I see that the date of the 5th round ties is weekend of 18-19/2.

In the league we have Fulham on 18/2, and Villa have Newcastle on 20/2.

It is possible the rearranged game could take place on 18/2, clearly would require all of the following to happen:

- Newcastle beat Birmingham tonight in their 3rd round replay
- We lose our 4th round tie at Burnley
- Newcastle win their 4th round tie at Oxford
- Fulham their 4th round tie home to Hull

Plus agreement from clubs, police etc.

Official site is still showing us playing both Villa and Burnley on the 28th, maybe that's why we have gone recruitment mad in January :) .

Just phoned up and got my refund, gutted  I can't make the new date but I guess that's the way it goes, very easy to do though and found the ticket office efficient as always...

Got my refund. Shame as I've never been and it would've been a great atmosphere but away trips on Tuesday are near impossible for me even as close as villa. But 2 more tickets for members!

Seems abit odd as the facup 5th round replays will be Tues 28th and wed mar 1st. There is a small chance city could need this date for facup action. Would be sods law if this happens and more rescheduling and refunds etc needed.

Find it quite poor that the club are only giving just over 24 hours to refund tickets, given that the game is now what 6 weeks away. Why not give 1 week for refunds, allowing people to try and book the time off work etc and then resume sales procedure?

I agree with what you're saying but I'm sure people with spare tickets won't have any trouble selling them on here as it'll sell out easily still.

Anyone think we might get a few more tickets now it`s midweek and not on a Saturday?

I suppose that could change things if the police view a midweek crowd as less potentially troublesome than a Saturday one. Still think it's an outrage that other Championship clubs have been given more than us though.

Am I right in thinking I've only got until tomorrow to get a refund?

Can I do that and buy a ticket just for me (as won't be taking Joe - skool nite and all that)?
