pride of the west
I seen this line up happening an hour after Tuesdays game. Brownhill rest and cotterill for odowda was obvious to me

He may get his wish if we lose but the formation looks like 4-4-1-1 with Tomlin playing behind Tammy with two wingers. It maybe to accommodate LT
Baldyman
Against the worst defence in the league we go defensive with one striker up top and leave Taylor on the bench . I'd sack him now before we even kick off !!!

Personally would have liked to see two up front, but potentially more room for Tomlin. Let's just get behind them for 90 minutes today. Guest
This could well be his Matt Smith moment. A potential 'Classic' awaits. FWIW exactly the lineup I'd have gone with - possible exception of Maggs.
Tears in rain
So Magnusson dropped not Flint then

Cider_boy
It is ridiculous. Tomlin at left back, Flint out on the wing, what is he thinking? (just guessing what he might do) LJ Out!

Ivorguy
Seems an obvious line up to me and much as expected. Pack for Brownhill and Cotterill for O'Dowda are pretty obvious and so is Little over Vyner, too risky to play Zak who might be freaked by the occasion
TheCulturalBomb
Playing with 6 natural defenders.. Would have liked to see Taylor start as well, just play him in Bryan's position.
Esmond Million's Bung
Looks a little bit negative against the bottom of the league to me, but we shall see. COYR.
JammyOne
Line up is perfect. I would like to see Hegs and Smith play together but I guess Smith isn't quite ready yet.

megansdad
agree looks like a good line up - certainly plenty of attacking options and a strong bench. COYR
samo II
I actually think it looks pretty balanced, if Tomlin is playing through the middle, and Cotts and Bryan are on the right and left respectively. Pack for Brownhill is like for like really, and keeping Brownhill's energy on the bench to chuck on later isn't bad. Most 'balanced' line up (and bench too) we've shown for a while. COYR! Luxo Jr.
Do you think the OP just had this post pre-written? A ridiculous starting lineup would have Wilbraham and Djuric up top, with Hegeler on the wing and Fielding at left back.
tinman85
We should beat Rotherham with our youth team. So this thread won't turn into a classic. 3.5.2 is our best formation. Where on earth is Mags?
Cider_boy
As has been discussed on other threads, I would have loved Taylor to start, have a great game, grab a goal or two. Risk is if he didn't perform brilliantly and got subbed off. Longer term, best bet is to bring him on in the second half.
GrahamC
No massive issue with it, but do find a few things baffling. No Magnusson in the squad when he said in midweek that he is fit. O'Neil gets 10 minutes midweek then is not involved at all today whereas Pack unused then, does. Think it is a bit defensive but does at least have balance (a right winger on the right) plus Tomlin in his best position.
