Despite having a number of options in the centre of midfield, Bristol Live understands the Gas are on the verge of adding Coventry City player Abu Ogogo.

In May 2010, he was sentenced to eight month's imprisonment, suspended for eighteen months and ordered to perform 120 hours of unpaid community service, after pleading guilty to inflicting grievous bodily harm and actual bodily harm in an assault in Croydon in August 2008

Its taken 9 years before finally being made to do his unpaid community service ?

Yep, this was the standard Facebook response from Gasheads at the time. I bet they wish he’d pissed off to Oxford for free now ?

He did actually say "resigned" not re-signed.

Proper gas grammar that and such foresight.

All the examples above from Eddie Hitler, plus the fact how many release clauses of other players are mentioned on Sky Sports News, commentators, EFL programme, MOTD, in the press generally etc etc. Yet when someone bids that release clause amount it is underhand in their tiny minds. Glad to know it still hurts them really badly...

If they didn’t have something about City to occupy their tiny minds then they would wake up and realise the absolutely dire predicament in which their club finds itself.....

They eagerly scan the away teams’ line ups at The Mem in the vain hope that an ex-City player may well be among them, then they can bellow ‘Sheee-ed’ at these guys non stop and congratulate themselves on how they must have ruined those players’ afternoons by reminding them that they once played for a much bigger club than their own little outfit.

It helps them, it really does. While they stay away from The Mem in increasing numbers and boycott league games, they fill their minds with:

”Lansdown = tax dodger” - except Dwane Sports is registered in Jersey - oops!

”Gas = 6th richest club in the country” - except they are not, they’re not even the richest club in their own city - oops!

Etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, ...... you know the others....

....and they just make us laugh, again and again, while they esperately try to remain relevant....

Is it true that Ogogo talked of da gas’ “big fanbase and massive away support” when he signed? Please let it be true - another one taken in by their utter nonsense - 6,851 at their last home game....

Rovers don’t pay anyone that much,

their star striker who we stole was only on about 1.5 k a week

Is that true? They were paying him c£80k a year? Bloody hell hahahaha

He's just gone back to the Prem with Burnley. That's not even taking the wages etc into consideration.

They are deluded, and to be honest they do think they are better than most in that league, and would probably think he would see it as a step up.

Unrealistic signings, aren't just limited to the blue few though...

Why are Burnley deluded for signing Crouch?! And why shouldn’t they think he sees it ‘as a step up’ ?! It IS a step up - he’s gone from the championship to the premier league.....

So, my issue with that, is they’ve swapped a 29 year old striker with a decent premier league record for a 38 year old who could barely come off the bench in the league below, and on a six month contract for relatively few quid on top it seems.

Gotta be honest BS4, this smells of a dog’s bank account

It would appear that the Blue Few have signed a new terrific striker.

The Bristol Post article also states that he has "scored 6 gals this season", ooh er missus. A bit of a ladies man as well. Well, he shouldn't have any problem scoring in whorefield.

“The 24-year-old has scored six goals in 29 appearances for the Sky Blues this season.

He has previously had spells Doncaster Rovers, MK Dons, Rotherham, Oldham, Bury, Southend United, and Peterborough United.”

So the 15ers are the 9th league club for this 24yo. He doesn’t hang around anywhere for very long does he?

A goal every 5 games (at the same level) hopefully means that his projected 3 goals (4 if being generous) for the remainder of this season will not be enough to keep the horrible ####ers up ?

Scored two against us in 2015 mind ?

Good knowledge..!

In fairness, that match sticks in the mind as one of our most woeful performances in recent times, and he’s hardly kicked on much since then.

Indeed, he’s just taken a dire backwards step. At least they will love him, with that stat in his pocket!

This is where Lee is getting it all wrong, as Rovers manager Graham Coughlin told the club website:

"Abu Ogogo is also a great character that will provide a boost in the changing rooms, which is exactly what we need in our current situation,"

Look behind you, they are still coming, even it is only in the showers!!

The bit about him going to Burnley was in relation to a previous comment.

The deluded bit was about Ragass supporters.

You're right, it is a step up for Crouch....

The BBC website has Abu Ogogo going from the Gas to Coventry. Being one of those who has no idea about most of their squad, I took this to be correct and was thinking they can't have many players left. :)
Stefan Payne must have been desperately unhappy there, I don't quite understand why he ever moved in the first place, Shrewsbury were looking really good last year and he had scored 11 goals for them. 20 games and 2 goals later, he is back there. Lest we forget, this is how enthusiastic he was on signing...........

I genuinely believe he thought he was signing for the other Bristol club.
