The Blackburn game saw the highest number of us - City - inside AG this season, more than 20k of us. With away support, there was under 20k City for both Newcastle and Villa (although there were capacity restrictions at those 2 games).

What the lower price seems to have done is to make the "less attractive" games more attractive.

Yep, fair comment Jack.

Club are aware of possibility of away fans in home areas. Last week they cancelled a number of suspect tickets after speaking with purchasers and will be trawling again this week!

good news I think on trains as the more fans away from the road closures the better.

we are prepared for a good day of football with hopefully no issues, it's been a long season and city fans have been very well behaved, makes my job much easier . !!

Question if I may.

If you catch people where they shouldn't will you arrest them or allow them to join the away fans like heroes?

I think I know the answer if City fans infiltrated the Brum area.

Consistency would stop it happening.

Read somewhere on the forum that there was just over 250 tickets left ... But I reckon there will be around 24k which is very good considering the season we've had!

Just booked my ticket this evening, only upper west stand available and as a member got for £15 although am about 4 rows from the very top of the stand so hopefully no low cloud next Sunday. Looks like there are about 200 or so tickets left so very much near capacity and our biggest crowd since our Div 1 days. Should be a great atmosphere!

Can you actually arrest someone for being in the home area and supporting the away team? What offence have they committed in law? Seems a bit extreme!

I think you need to be prepared for a bit more than that (fail to prepare, etc)

As I said in my reply to @kitr lowering ticket prices is something to be considered. However, it could be costly, to reduce match day prices you would also need to reduce season ticket prices to keep them attractive. The problem comes if you commit to that  and then the increase in sales doesn't transpire.

I believe that such behaviour might cause a breach of the peace to use old language.

what is the difference with home fans in away ends if tickets are scarce?

Probably just ejected, although need an opinion from a higher source @JulieH

It's not a criminal offence but would be a breach of ground regulations for which a fan would be ejected, hopefully without further issues!

At this club They will will be ejected from the ground, no heroes welcome!

there is no space to put them in the away end this Sunday anyway .

Thanks for clarifying.

In my opinion, it is an extremely provocative thing to do unless you keep your mouth shut and sit on your hands.

One thing is for sure, the crowd on Sunday will be one in the eye for those (myself included) that thought the biggest crowds this season would be rugby ones. Only the two games against Bath exceeded 20,000 and not by much at that. The next best were against Worcester at just over 16k.

Attendance was 16,200 for the visit of Bath. No game has had a 20k attendance for rugby this season.

I don't know what the website I was looking at was referring to then. But happy to take your word for it.

@JulieH  ... if the Brum link, above, is anything to go by 'escorting away fans' out of the upoer West Stand is gonna be a problem... there's a heck of a lot of stairs to climb up and down... link indicates +30 Brummies in one section of Upper West alone... Reckon youre gonna need something like this to deal with 'em all....

Fingers crossed :fingerscrossed: for a peaceful happy match ... but there is 'potential' that stewards and police may have their hands full...

We get this several times a season and, aside from the gobby Leeds fan getting a pasting a few seasons ago, it rarely turns nasty.

As for their forum, its a bit dumb of him to say that he's in W8 Row 23 and has a Wiltshire address - I doubt he'll be seeing the game as there are only 13 sold in that row as I type so he'll be easily found.

There will inevitably be some dotted around the place and its something a lot on here have done for away matches with no away tickets available. As long as they behave themselves it'll be fine.

Glad I'm not in W8 row 23 then!

The same ones boycotting the club as well ;)

I haven't necessarily agreed with some prices as they do seem a little expensive for certain games but when you see we are currently 12th in the average attendance table, people haven't gone overboard with the moaning. The Brum game will see it go over 19k which is very good.

Lets not forget that the Upper Lansdown was partially closed for some of the season due to H & S regulations

The biggest problem with ticket prices is its so difficult to get friends and family committed in turning up with POTD pricing.

A modest interest is all that's needed to get a mate and his nipper to say "yeah, I'll come along". When you tell them how much it is (given they haven't been for years) they spit their pint everywhere.

No easy answers, although the discounted games are a blessing.

Bollocks I've been refused tickets for Sunday and had my money refunded because I have booking history at the Blues, this is the first time I have been sussed because of IT, anyone know of any tickets going spare.
