Lack of Action Man Posted May 8, 2017 Report Share Posted May 8, 2017 I noticed at half time that Oasis and sweets were running low in the South stand kiosks (I know because it was a rare occasion where I wanted Oasis and every bastard in the queue ahead of me kept buying them up!). For city the lesson to be learned here is, get the prices right - get bums on seats (particularly kids who want sugary things) and keep the dough coming in! Know Thatcher's shop well, been visiting for years! The season card discount has made the option of eating and drinking in the stadium more competitive and the quality is definitely better. Fully justified or a bit rich to be celebrating narrowing escaping a failure of their own making?! Is there some form of compilation when we use the cards at the outlets? They must surely keep tabs on each SCH as they go through the turnstiles, after all. So yes I did think it OTT and potentially dangerous but as you say heat of the moment etc...He redeemed himself in a post match interview however by taking the opportunity to run down our neighbours and their pathetic behaviour at Blackburn. On the broader point I guess it was a mixture of sheer relief and wanting to share the fans elation. You're right most of them should take a long hard look at theirselves especially after Zola arrived as they did not perform for the useless little ****. Having been to every game this season I was chuffed to stay up but only to ram it down a certain clubs fans throats. Going down held no fear for me and wouldnt have changed my support. Wendy, I genuinely don't mean to sound rude but I've challenged you on this before and you didn't reply. As a member I pay £24 (silver) or £29 (gold) for a decent seat in the Dolman. There are other cheaper seats available elsewhere in the ground. Yes, the membership costs £20 but that pays back in 4 games - and even without it the you don't have to pay as much as you are claiming. This season I have also watched 3 games at discounted prices - Blackburn (£10), Hull (£13) and Birmingham (£15). It's simply not true to say you "have to pay £70-£80" for two people to watch a game. Don't think so or we could have some kind of loyality points reward system, eg free pie after x amount of pints or even in the shop, discounted items, eg you have bought the shirt and the training top, what about money off shorts/socks.
