Tomlin Off Then?

Could be just him on a wind up, it wouldn't be the first time...

Probably is on his way, which I don't think anyone is actually surprised at if we're all being honest. The way he is doing it though if that is the case is unprofessional, but after all of the Twitter drama with him last year, again, are we surprised?

Shame if/when he goes because, as others have said, is unplayable on his day. Unfortunately for us though, that wasnt nearly enough this season. Whichever system we seem to be playing now, he doesnt fit. He's either not good enough for the system, or doesn't do enough off the ball to warrant him being in the team.

I'd say so long as we get a good chunk of what we paid for him, if someone else wants to take him on then let him go.

Hopefully the day he comes back here will be one of the 9 out of 10 where he offers nothing.

I worry as much about LJs ego as much as Tomlin's.

Clearly, LJ tought he could do better than Howe and get Tomlin to work for us. He couldn't and it nearly cost us a Championship place.

Would have loved it to work out as he is a sublime talent.

Notwithstanding MA blathering on about 'the right DNA', Tomlin 's DNA was badly misaligned with LJs.

Would be lucky to 500k.

He isn't very good,

Left back, no

Left midfield, no

Central, no.

One of those players who doesn't have a specialist position.

Can get away with it in league One, but not in this division.

Not good enough and needs to be moved on, bristolian or not.

Left back signing(s) is one of the priorities this summer, along with other positions.

The more I read your posts , the more I realise you know very little about football and even less about trolling.

Keep trying .

I don't understand how we can never "find a place" for players with skill.

Our squad lacks any type of flair, no skilful wingers or craetive midfield players. Our two main strikers are lumps.

Huge summer required and its going to cost.

Not the skill that's the issue - it's the egos and tantrums that are the problem

For his own good LT should really delete his social media accounts.

His signing has to go down as a pretty big mistake given the fee and his wages. Will have to see what we can recoup in terms of the fee. The loan arrangement was perfect for us but after seeing his antics on twitter last summer I would not have signed him.

Looks like our top two goalscorers definitely won't be at the club next season then.

Really got our work cut out in that department.

He was our best player for the first part of last season.  He always contributed to the team and was by far our most creative player.

Tomlin always looked to create and make things happen , believe me we will miss him.

Also no Tammy we are really going to struggle if you think Matty Taylor is going to step up.

We have lost our other creative player in Freeman and some of you want to make the same mistake we did with Ayling  last year and get rid of a very good full back in Bryan.

There is no point in getting rid of players if we are going to replace them for players of lesser quality.

Heard hes not going anywhere.

The post has been taken out of proportion, he just meant thanks for the support across the season.

Hope thats not true.

And also he isn't good at tracking back and fulfilling his defensive duties.

Anthony Knockhaert is really skilful, probaby better than Tomlin, but his tracking back and defence is superb.

He is up and down that right side all game long and he energy levels are amazing.....puts Tomlin to shame.

Johnson has said he wants to work with a smaller squad, don't think it'll be a case of one out, one in.

If LT goes it will be a smaller squad - smaller by a few lbs!

Why would he be liking all the arse licking posts referring to him leaving though?

I'll actually be annoyed if he's staying now!! Someone needs to take his twitter account off him.

He's liked a load of the replies though that refer to him leaving. I'm sure part of it is just him being a dick on twitter. But he is clearly going IMO and will be gone by the end of the summer assuming a club meets our valuation of him.

Asked the exact same thing. I think he just wants the attention to be honest. Has always been a wind up merchant.

Imagine LJ will have a word with him but that won't make an impact.

If the best up-and-coming young manager in the country doesn't fancy you I guess it's best for all parties.

You're talking about Eddie Howe's decision 12 months ago, right?
