Nothing surprising, all fairly predictable answers. Some noteworthy things were: - Using lots of data to identify players to scout based on how the data says they'd fit with his intended style of play - Aiming for 4-5 first team signings this summer as opposed to 14 total including "development" players from last summer - New and well regarded sports psychologist hired (Bill Beswick?) - Home friendly to be announced imminently The usual stuff about how recruitment takes time, have to get it right and so on. Luca Toni even took soundings from him when he agreed to join Hellas Verona a few seasons ago. That is how highly he is regarded. I asked him what his opinion of all this was and the opinion of Italians in general. He said that his opinion was in line with that of many Italians.
