No doubt a slapped wrist going to Jos

England wicketkeeper Jos Buttler has been fined 15% of his match fee by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for swearing during the second Test against South Africa.

Buttler was heard on the stump mic using an obscenity towards all-rounder Vernon Philander on the final day of the second Test at Newlands.

The 29-year-old has also been given one demerit point.

England claimed a thrilling 189-run win at Newlands to level the series at 1-1.

The third Test of the four-match series begins on Thursday, 16 January in Port Elizabeth.

Players can be suspended if they accumulate four demerit points in a two-year period.

Be interesting to see how Jimmy comes back from this, sure he will play again, given the man but it will take its toll.

Think next tour is SL so no real loss with those pitches over there. Hopefully be fit for our summer.

Superb start today by these two. Loved Pope when he made his debut so really hope he can go on and get a ton.  Cricket doesn’t help itself banning Rabada though.  I want to see needle and celebrations like that.  I’d go just as crazy playing for Bitton CC back in the day!

Especially when you consider that two of his demerit points came from celebrating the wickets of Warner and Smith in that Test match.

What happened?

Wood was caught, Root declared and they were coming off the pitch and it was a no ball. So Root rescinded his declaration and then Wood carried on smashing it out of the park! When he was finally caught again, Root declared.

Rabada got Mark Wood out caught, and Joe Root called them in from the balcony. As they were walking in the replay showed it was a no ball, so Root told them to stay out there. The rules do say you shouldn't be able to do that, but I guess that was written before the replays were in place. England added another 31 runs :)
