What a pleasure it has been to have TMS back rather than the shouty, advert ridden bollocks that is Talksport`s coverage.

You would never have known they were all doing it via zoom if they hadn`t told you. Absolutely superb coverage as we have come to expect.

Didn't listen today but totally agree. I mean who wants to listen to Gareth Batty ffs?! Apart from @TomFobviously!

Lawrence doing what most knew he would. England getting a good batting unit together now.  Burns, Sibley, Crawley, Stokes, Root, Lawrence, Pope.  Can only play 6 of those 7, max, and England will probably pick 5 of them so 2 good batsmen will miss out every game.

Bowling has good depth too. Ashes will be interesting

You can probably see both teams being around 20/2 every test match the problem will be how we get  Labuschagne and Smith out.

Didn’t realise the great Jacques Kallis was on the English set up . What a player to learn from

Yeah, all the England players were delighted when Kalas was appointed as a batting coach. He could probably be a bowling coach as well.

Top, top player in his day.

Buttler missing from your list as well whould presumably bat at 6, certainly no lower than 7. With the amount of Test cricket to be played this year there should be plenty of oppurtunity for all of them to push their case.

Its a shame Bairstow didn't get a big score today as he could have added his name to the ever growing list as well.

Also the pace bowling we now have Jimmy, Broad, Archer, Wood and Stone. You have to think if fit Archer and Wood will start in the the first Ashes Test then are we looking at either Jimmy or Broad for the other spot? Tough decisions ahead for sure.

Yes Buttler to keep with Foakes a good back up.  Bairstow got issues batting in test matches against good opponents I’d say so would miss out for me
