Fiale
I was wondering if anyone had a loft/attic conversion to create a new room/bedroom. We are going to do this this year and are a little apprehensive to be honest. If you have had one done, could you please let me know a couple of things The costs (I know it will vary on type of build). The time scale. Whether they could work around you whilst living there Would you recommend your builders (and if so who they were if you don't mind mentioning it) Many thanks. gl1
We moved into a house that had one done by the previous owners. Was always freezing in the winter and really hot in the summer. Maybe it was just a bad job, but we didn't use it at all for anything other than storage!
Talk Of The Town
Our dormer loft conversion cost us 35k. That's a bedroom with an en suite. We have a Victorian terrace
Fordy62
In laws spent 40k on theirs. 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. I want to say the turn around was 6-8 weeks and they lived there while it happened. Theyve done a really decent job. But it's in Norfolk!

Have been looking around and realised I have no real base of knowledge when talking to any of the companies (sad to hear so many horror stories when doing online research)
