The following teams have already qualifield out of the 32 teams in the tournament

Brazil, Belgium, Iran, Mexico, Japan, Saudi Arabia and South Korea.

It was the similar when England played in Moscow.

Less than £20 for home fans. £50 + from the FA. £25 off touts.

Fit women, cheap booze, Moscow and St Petersburg look decent cities to visit, fit women, decent weather in June, fit women and er............. fit women. Take the risk of getting your head kicked in and its not such a bad place to have a world cup.

Gonna be a  rigged tournament. Don't think England will get the Moscow / St Petersburg group - more likely Kazsn and Siberian.

The majority of teams have at least one game in either Moscow, St Petersburg or Kaliningrad (which is an easy one to). Also, if we were to be playing in some random places you don't have to spend a lot of time there. I went to Brazil for 2 and a half weeks in 2014 and stayed in Rio for 9 days overall. Granted, Moscow is not a patch on Rio but you don't have to just stay in the city England play in. There are far worse countries to have a world cup.

If it's the 2007 game you're referring to, that would be due to the fact that we tend to get charged the same price for away games that our FA charge for visiting fans at Wembley. The price for Moscow in 2007 was set by the Russian FA but was driven by the high price that our FA charged Russian fans for the 3-0 England win at Wembley (one of the few high points of the McClaren regime).

If memory serves, we ended up with a £10 refund from the FA for the game in Moscow after someone on the England fans' forum noticed that the price on the ticket in Roubles was closer to £40 than the £50 we were originally charged (it's unlike me to stick up for the FA, but they did process partial refunds for the 4,000 or so fans who went to that game).

Isn't there a visa fee as well?

(obviously ignoring the hotel and travel costs - they can be as little or as much as you like)

No visas will be needed for ticket holders at next year's world cup - the Russians are waiving the requirement for the length of the tournament.
