The official Bristol City FC v Stoke City FC in the Carabao Cup match day thread

Sometimes the result is just to perfect.

Nine changes. Listened in just expecting to get beaten, but hoping they play well. We won. We deserved to. We were the better side. Taylor scores a real strikers goal and we keep a clean sheet.

I know, for whatever reason top league sides struggle to get themselves up for this cup.

In truth however, that was easy.

Fantastic result, well played City and well done LJ.

It's great to see we can make that level of change and still produce a coherent performance.

Another goal and assist for Fam - and Taylor back on the scoresheet.  All very positive.

Now let's just see Wolves spank the blue few in extra time to put the sprinkles on the icing on the cake.

More form stoke forum:

Lee Grant MOTM, and we still lose 2-0 to Bristol City reserves
Bristol made NINE changes from a team that won 4-1

Just had a call from an eye witness - totally outclassed and the bastards didn't even come over to applaud the fans

Didn't want to be in this competition anyway.

Coherent is a very good choice of word. Must say something about how well the coaching is preparing the whole squad.
