Never to the dark side

As a 25 year old City fan, I'm convinced that the our ball has some kind of magnet which attracts shit ties. I decided to look at the last time we drew a big club:

Man U - 1980
Man City - 2007*
Spurs - 1980
Arsenal - 1980
Chelsea - 1990
Liverpool - 1994

*This was before Man City was a 'big' side in my opinion so it doesn't count!

In summary, we're cursed.

Corrections

Man U - 1909 FA Cup Final

Arsenal - 1920 - FA Cup 2nd Round (City won)

Spurs - 1970 - League Cup Semi Final

This is great for the way our squad is at the minute. I get people who want us to get a big tie and bow out but this keeps us getting first team games to keep our squad players fit and motivated. While our squad is fit and healthy the more games we have the better to keep the spirit high.

Here's an indication of how they view the cup...

first team is the XI who beat Huddersfield in the Cup.

Second team lost to Saints in the Prem on Saturday.

Speroni is still playing in the LC team: we know he has a weakness to long range/top corner strikes. Exploit it lads.

Worth watching again in any event:

Never get tired of seeing that again. On it's own it's up there with the best I've ever seen us score but given the game and the timing, it's such a great goal.

Nothing to fear from this draw. Genuine chance of getting through.

From the Palace message boards  :  "Hopefully we can at least get a win without having to play any first teamers"

Yeah, that sounds like a plan lads.  :rain:

This is just what i love about the big headed PL boys. Very naive and misinformed fools. Thinking a reserve team can just turn up and win. Good luck with that one!

Quarter Final home to Chelski coming up........:clapping:
