HarriboSauce
Unfortunately one of our ex-players, Darren Hawkins, has sadly passed away this morning. Joined City's academy from a young age and managed to play for the first team a few times. He lived around the corner from me growing up and we used to have a kick around in Oldbury Court. He came from a great family, had a heart of gold and was a genuine top bloke. RIP Darren
GrahamC
Was his Dad Chris? Think I played alongside him in the early 80s in Fishponds. RIP.

Kid in the Riot
That's very sad and no age to go (33 I think?). I remember him as a player of some potential and recall he did well at Bath City in a loan spell scoring a fair few goals. RIP Darren
Curr Avon
RIP Darren. I've just Googled the following OTIB thread from January 2004: According to Soccerbase he was only 33: http://www.soccerbase.com/players/player.sd?player_id=35578
Major Isewater
Always sad when one of ours passes. Although he won't go down as a City favourite, he , along with every other player to pull on the red shirt has got us to where we are today. My thoughts go out to his family and loved ones . I was about 19 at the time and played up front for the Spotted Cow in Fishponds for a couple of years, sometimes alongside Chris, who was a decent player. I saw Darren play for the reserves once or twice but only found out later on that he was Chris' son.

I didn't really know him but I remember all the promise he showed as a City youngster. 33 is no age. Really sad.
