Oh yeah !

I preferred their earlier stuff when Eno was with them .

The commercial stuff they did in the eighties was very good but didn't take their music forward bit of a let down really .

Agreed,  "Roxy Music" & "For Your Pleasure" are both my favourites.

My mates were into RM when the first LP was released. It wasn't for me although I did like Bryan's first solo album. I still remember the covers adorning the inside window at our local Woolworths. If they'd been on the outside, when the hard rains came, they'd have fallen.

Big interest in football at BGS, and BCFC in particular, in my day, especially considering it was a Rugby only school at the time.

I was going to away matches regularly at 16/17 with a car load of City fans from the year above.

All (bar one no sadly no longer with us) still regulars at AG 40+ years on, if split around the ground in various stands now.

None of them on OTIB that I know of though.

We couldn't even play football at games until the 4th year (lower removes) but in the school XI we did get to play at places like Millfield and Sherborne. All my lot were red hot BCFC, casting my mind back I'm not sure I can actually remember any sags.

I went up there the other day to take my boy to see the Great Hall which was part of the Doors Open weekend. It's an amazing place, full of so many memories!

Downloaded it on Kindle about 10 days ago read it in three days.  Slightly different to other 'hoolie' books in that there's some life story in there and he/CSF doesn't claim to have taken on and beaten all-comers. Refreshing in that sense I suppose.

I agree, I've just finished reading it on Kindle. It's a decent read to be fair.

Any particularly interesting tales?

'Bolton in central London '86, Chelsea '90, 'Boro away, various London trips, a few about Cardiff, loads about the gas and a fair few scrapes on England trips. There are loads of stories. I enjoyed the read to be fair and I wasn't sure I would but fair play to Paul, it's alright.
