Yes,  I'm the same as you, because of over 60 years of experience of City and as you probably know I have not been the greatest of LJ's supporters, but there is something about this squad of players that is making me feel very optimistic about BCFC's future. Of course, that is if they are kept together and the big guns don't come after them.

Yes our 'newbies' of last season have come good (Brownhill. CoD) keep then with the old boys (Flint. Joe) Baker has rejoined seamlessly. But no i think talk of promotion will be a season too soon for Ellisson etc.

I agree, don't think we'll be top 6 come may. Just think the likes of villa etc will have more depth over the hard months especially with the injurys hitting hard now (Callum being the latest ) having said that, if we can stay in touch and a few quality additions in January, you never know. One things for sure , we got a hell of a will to win and togetherness.

That has to be one of the worst goals I've ever seen. It's our first loss away from home since August, slip ups are expected.

Absolute shambles that goal! Iv seen 10yr olds defend better than that! All the talk of Brownhill being a great player, and he can’t even get goalside of a player in goal mouth even thou he looked to side and saw the players moments before. Pathetic

This needs addressing by Johnson, or it will turn into a repeat of last years slide.

Joke of a goal. Our back line not fit for purpose at the moment.

Albert gets his second for Villa.

3 hours ago, Wanderingred said:

Wow.. make no mistake, this is an utterly HIDEOUS performance. Utter drivel As bad as anything I can ever remember. What on earth has been going on? That second goal... wow, just wow. We must have had about five attempts to clear it. Hull have been rubbish but we are so bad it's beyond words.

3 hours ago, ScottishRed said:

Numerous opportunities to clear it, none taken , dreadful goal to lose.

Cant see us getting 1 back never mind 2.

This highlights despite what some say we actually don't have a strong squad at all and the blame for that lies squarely with MA and the management team.

Not gonna get anything out of today.

Boro at home will be  a big test to see what Johnson learned from last seasons bad run. An average team on an indifferent run, should be there for the taking.

I wanted Johnson gone last season but a quarter final place in the league cup and a mid table finish would leave me satisfied this season, but out last 2 performances and lack of chances created do worry me that we’ve been found out now and Johnson has no idea how to make the changes needed to get us going again.

This is my issue tbh. If we accept we aren’t a top six outfit, which we aren’t, then I’d rather see Kelly get game time over Magnússon who has had plenty of time to get up to speed and doesn’t seem up to it. 10 games from Kelly here and there will benefit the club more in the long term imo.

I love reading the bull that gets written on here sometimes. Great result lads well done to the lads who travelled and lj and the lads. Coyr

6 games left in 2017 before we can hopefully add a few new faces to the squad, as well as seeing where we are with injuries etc.

In those 6 games we have some very tough fixtures, none more so than Sheffield Utd away and Wolves at home. I'm also going to add QPR away to that as we never seem to get anything there, but after some of our away results this season, who actually knows? Boro and Reading at home will also be tricky, but I fancy us to turn them both over as they will come and have a go, which is always better for us.

Out of those 18 points available, I'd be happy with 9-12 (actually think this is possible) as I think it would keep us in the top 6 come 1st Jan.

Could potentially see us on around 46 points after 25 played. Would be more than happy with that, with 21 to play. If we get to 50 points come 1st Jan, I'll start believing that there could be a possible top 6 finish up for grabs. Long long way to go, and I'm just enjoying the ride!

Stand by what I said. Delighted with the win AND I think Lloyd Kelly playing over Magnússon when Bryan is injured would benefit the club in the long term. That's my opinion. And if you want to be a spend your Saturday Evening trawling through 16 pages on a matchday thread finding posts to quote why don't you search a bit harder and quote the later one I wrote!!!!

And I love reading bull posted by people picking out odd posts without bothering to read or even understand the context under which it was posted.

I was watching the game and directly after Hull's 2nd goal, we were in fact being battered a battering that lasted 10 minutes and could have resulted in more goals, we were in panic mode, until we took the game by the scruff of the neck and then relieved the pressure somewhat by Flint's goal.

Perhaps had you bothered to read my half time post and full time post instead of randomly picking out posts and shoehorning them into a 'look at me' post, you would have possibly understood the context, why not even add LJ's post match comments to your sneering post he pretty much backs up what I said.

Great comeback great determination great win though!

People talk about injuries being the problem...johnson has spent millions on 30 players and it seems city only have 11 players who are up to it. The squad is clearly weak.

Nice to see Thatch put in a brief appearance this afternoon.

And then when those three goals went in he was, just like Keyser Soze ( and Kevin Spacey for that matter) gone in the blink of an eye.

I am sorry I do not understand your post at all, if I had the ability to know with certainly the score of todays game, I would have bought a lottery ticket and gone through every racing card in the UK today and be on my way to the casino.

Your comments should be directed towards LJ, the person I assume you believe you are defending in some bizarre way.

I did hear a pundit some years ago remark "2-0 is a dangerous score" so I looked it up. Perhaps this should be posted on the Tiger's Forum.

https://www.goalden.com/2010/06/20-the-most-dangerous-score-in-the-game

Your team scores 2 goals and it is 2-0 at halftime.  You have completely dominated the game up to this point and you can’t help but think the win is penciled in.  The coach sits everyone down at halftime and touches on some good characteristics of the half but is very clear in saying that 2-0 is a dangerous score.  “Don’t get comfortable, the game isn’t over”  is what you will usually hear from a coach in this situation, “and don’t let them score a quick goal.”

As players we sit there and we think ya, ya, don’t worry we got this one in the bag, just relax.  The second half begins and you feel at ease…I mean why shouldn’t you, it’s 2-0!

Goal.  What?….they just scored, it’s 2-1.  Uh oh. The momentum has completely shifted into your opponents end and you can’t help but feel as though you are on your heels.  Your opponent ains confidence and it shows because they are completely outplaying you at this point.  Panic somewhat sets in and the entire team seems to be scrambling.

Of course.

But I was answering a bloke who quoted a whole load of people saying we were crap referring to their comments as bull. I was watching we were crap

We were awful until we went 2/0 down and went for it. As a bloke said on the radio 2.0 you do just go for it. We got forward Elliason gave them problems and Flint was immense

Great result and a great shot in the arm!

Fair enough. I was just reading through the comments and find it astounding the criticism the team gets when things don’t go our way. Today was a great result and who knows we may look back at this as it could be so valuable. Up the city.

If you don't read the context that surround posts, it is often not criticism it's fact at that point in the game.

It was a great and wholly unexpected result for the first hour of the game, let's celebrate that and not dwell on the odd comments made in the heat of the moment or stating facts but taken out of context, as I said 3 points I wasn't expecting on the hour mark.

Among those quoted were some idiotic stuff though.

Criticism when due is fine, but claiming another 8 game losing streak on the basis of a bad 65 minutes for example.

Most of the posts were taken totally out of context and were stating fact.

Of course there some heat of the moment posts as well.

Its a long way to the end of the season. Lots of injuries but still top six. Odowda now and we will se about Bryan. Milan not fit for 90 min. So far we have been verry good. Far to early to think top six with all injuries we have. Eliasson is good and he will be in the starting eleven. Its possible that Engvall plays in Jan, who have thought that? We have a joker in Leko. Transfer window in jan maybe some new player or players are coming in. Dont think Engvall is good enough, hope Im wrong. Always believe, COYR!!!

I wouldn't say that the post that you quoted of mine was that 'bull'. It was pretty forgiving compared to most of the posts on here...

Win them all 52 points, safety and push for promotion, I just be drinking but once we’re math safe going ups the goal
