Come the end of the season we may look back at this result and say this was the day that not only did we sack the Ruskie but it was when we stayed comfortably in the play off zone instead of looking over our shoulder.

For me quite probably the most satisfying result of this campaign so far.

In all Carey fairness i think my 2 word comment was rather restrained.

An unreal win when we look at the first half. Usually Im optimistic but yesterday I had no hope after first half. Looking at BCTV and talking with another Cityfan in ht. We have nothing fw I said to him, and in the second I got the answer. This win was important, not only for the points, confidence, we could score 3 when we not playing well. Bryan, Pisano, Famara and also Odowda not in the team, made the result even stronger. This squad is made of fighting spirit. Always believe, COYR!!!

Bowen for them now has 10 goals. He is only 20 (think he has had a few prem games too) might be one to keep an eye on if our clubs respective fortunes continue on the same trajectory.

Only 20 too. Ex Hereford lad. Wiki does say he`s contracted till 2020 though so would cost an arm and a leg.

According to the BBC Sport pre-match analysis we hadn't scored against Hull at their place since early 2000's (I can't find the actual article now), but I thought BoomBoom scored with an overhead kick up there in 2007/08 campaign under GJ?

That goal was at Ashton Gate.
