There weren't too many live City games on tele around this time, so why they chose this who knows. They must have been given a bigger budget too, Alistair Hignell in the studio , Roger Malone and Mark Lawrenson in the gantry and Mark Gavin and Dennis Roffe (?) in the studio. Nice sight of Clive Whitehead at half time. I had forgotten he was on the staff then, along side one of my most hated managers, Russell Osman. As I said , after the thrills and goals of the Derby game it's back down to earth. A close 1-0 win thanks to Nicky Morgan , someone who I probably never gave enough credit, mainly due to us keeping him and Wayne and getting rid of Bob Taylor . Still it was a dull time for football under Osman, I still remember chants of 'off,off,off after a poor Osman challenge. That chant was from the City fans , and the City team that day; Welch , Munro , Scott , Osman , Bryant , Pennyfather , Shelton , Bent , Rosenior , Morgan , Tinnion: SUBS; Allison , Harrison Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

He was working as a cabbie up the airport a couple of years back-despite living in Redland he said he’d never been back to the Gate since he left. I might take a look at the video, but I don't want any flashbacks. And @1960maaan, Nicky Morgan was a very tidy player, I think he was ex-hammers.
