Warning - parking tonight just got harder

Recommended Posts

The roads surrounding AG have (in the last hour) been made 'Tow Away' zones. I'm therefore guessing that the normal removal of cones which was unenforceable will now result in fines/car removal. Looks like BCC want their piece of the Man Utd cash pie.

Road closures outside the stadium were announced in advance.

This isn't a road closure. These are tow-away zones on Raynes Road, Geralad Road, Banwell Road etc.

Ah right. I thought you were referring to alongside the park.

That's going to cause all sorts of problems then......

I’m driving down Duckmoor shortly. Will try and see what the restrictions actually are

No info on the signs other than 'Tow Away Zone - No Parking' and a telephone number Dolls.

Apologies for the shite image.

The whole panic by the police and council actions are making tonight a farce for travelling. Will gridlock at some stage and totally avoidable - twatski peni-erectis

Exactly this.

I would wager there will be more anti social parking as a result of these previously unannounced than if there was an early announement saying 'new parking restrictions in place' with a little map showing where was now on their hit list.

Maybe they’re doing roadworks at some point and so the signs are in prep for that. They’ll just put the date on them? I’m not sure cos I’ve parked further away than usual to try and make getting away easier.

I thought parking with the wheels on the pavement, as in the first pic was subject to a fine?. It is here.

Even the Sam FM car park is jumping on the bandwagon and clawing the cash in. Now £10 for the privilege of getting your car boxed for an hour after full time.
