Will there be a DVD of last nights match made available or will it be a compilation of the entire cup run culminating in a win at the Final...?

Doubt they have the rights.

Was wondering if the game will go up on BCTV.

The Sheffield United game did, so the issue isn't Sky (for a change), but think we have only had highlights for the Cup matches which begs the question of why the EFL are happy for our League matches to go up fully, but not the Cup ones.

Perhaps @AdamB knows more.

Saved on the sky box for eternity.

Well until the new Sky Q+++ 9K UUUHD box is announced and mine is deemed defunct.

Yeah but they have only just launched and promoted the Sky Q box so you have at least 3 months :P

Do people still buy DVD's ?

Personally I would prefer it on disc, digital downloads are all well and good until the moment you no longer store it on your device to save memory, only to go to download it again to find it's no longer available, and the likes of Amazon don't give a shit about taking your money then denying you the product.

I have several albums with track missing because of albums in the store being withdrawn or changed for the re-release.

Until laws are put in place whereby if you sell a product that is digital you are obliged to make it forever available i'll take a physical copy.

Would be great to see how it looked on tv, put my name down for a DVD, VOD etc.

Maybe someone clever enough could upload it to Youtube? :)

I’d love to know if this is possible, I’ve got about a dozen City games on both my TiVo and V6 box that I'd wanna keep permanently somehow if I could.

wonder if lack of extended highlights / full video is because of the Man Utd image/media controlled rights and all that?

I was surprised by the extent of the global interest in the game and I guess where there is demand there is money to be made further down the line by the Man U corporate machine.

I believe they’ve removed this ability with the V6 box. The older boxes had a hdmi or scart out that you could plug into a dvd recorder.

I’ll ask the engineers at work when I see them in the year. If there’s a way they will know for sure

Nice to have the full game on our official site, would also be nice to watch Sky's coverage with all the build up and punditry etc :)

Would also be great to watch last nights debate with Lee, Mers, Rosenior etc

If it’s going to be a disc can we at least make it a blu ray. It is 2017 after all.

Too right!

3rd - Who uses DVD these days anyway? I dont.

Well actually I work as an online shopper for a supermarket, you'll be surprised at how people are still buying DVD's over Blu-rays just because either they still dont have a blu-ray player or its because new DVD's are like £6 cheaper than a blu-ray and blu-ray players can still play DVD's and offer "upscaling" technology, which at the moment doesnt justify the £6 price increase.

I myself have a fairly old Blu-ray Player - it had a software update to "upscale" any blu-ray disc to 4k (please remember 4k blu-rays are different) - but sadly only DVD's to 1080p - which dont get me wrong, still looks brilliant. Its this scaling technology thats keeping DVD's alive, most people are happy with it because they just dont know any better cos never got a native copy for what their machine can do!
