cidercity1987
We do have a good record against them overall, 10 wins v 7. Admittedly most of those wins came before WW1 But any stat to cling on to.
City Rocker
We beat them 1-0 in one of the earliest games I can remember at the Gate. My hero Chris Garland scored the winner and the scenes in the Park End resembled the Wild West to me. Fair to say that game over 40 years ago left quite an impression on me. Always liked Man City since then.
Lanterne Rouge
Didn`t we draw with them 2-2 on a Friday night back in the Div 1 days? IIRC Norman Hunter scored a screamer down the open end and Chris Garland got the other?

The Greenun put a picture on its front page showing Garland celebrating the goal with a bubble coming out of a floored Man City player saying , my boot lace has come undone Great days

Alan Dicks' side managed to put a few Billy Big Bollox's in their place around that time!

I'd have been in the schoolboy's enclosure in front of the Dolman. 40 or 50p back then!
Mr Popodopolous
I remember we beat them 1-0 in a pre-season friendly, think it was the Pulis season. One of my first seasons...amazed I stuck with us, Benny, followed by Pulis! We did though lose 2-1 to them in 2007 in Carling Cup. Bit unluckily but there we are. Maybe mistaken for Malcolm Allison who did as they both had rather enlarged oral orifices.
Admin Maesknoll Red Posted January 6, 2018 Admin Report Share Posted January 6, 2018 Just watching them on MOTD, I think we need to get a large bus, if not a brickie to block up the goals...... I fear the worst if they put out a strong team
