Guessing as there seems to have been no trouble, we will get a full allocation next time. The atmosphere and game were both very flat, for a derby.

Not sure. Full allocation last time and lots of trouble. Smaller allocation this time and no trouble. I think Heddlu may reach the conclusion that smaller allocation has it!

This, police will use the fact there was no trouble as justification for keeping the allocation low.

Thought at times we were excellent, Cardiff were silent until they scored, and even then they only sang for about 2 minutes, overall though it was flat and nothing on the games v the gas

Agree completely...I was in the home end at invite of a Cardiff City friend. Been to funerals with more atmosphere than their home section. Our fans came across really well.

Well let’s hope their allocation in BS3 is the same, then.

Especially when their manager is allowed to get away with making provocative comments in the build up to the game saying he wished ours was 500..

Really? LJ embarrassed himself by making the first silly comments

Hes been made.to look a right tit

I would put going away to Cardiff on a par to going to MK Dons, which to an old timer like me is a great shame, Cardiff away used to be a great experience.

Yep, my 6 trips to Ninian Park were awesome! And I saw 5 Bristol City victories from those 6 games! Cardiff away now is like going to the cinema to watch a shite film with z list actors....

It’s a massive shame that the game doesn’t have a real derby feel anymore. I used to love the trip to Ashton Gate as a kid.. Police escort in and out, great atmosphere.

I get to most of the away games, and I can’t honestly say that I’ve seen a real hostile environment or even a “deafening” stadium for probably around 10-15 years. It’s all changed for the worse.

The ground was quiet-ish today.. I was sat in the Canton end, it was noisy at times but this being completely honest, I think I heard the away end once. I don’t think the stadium keeps the atmosphere in, because it’s rare I hear the away end from where I’m sat but I’m sure you were singing throughout.. just not enough of you to hear I suppose.

We can't win here .... there was no trouble so the police say that is their justification....If there was trouble the police will want to cut it further.....Just blanket ban their fans next year as they ain't going up either or we

Well, we could win, but sadly we (or at least a small minority of us) blew it last year.

Next year, give them the 10% but split it into two halves of the Atyeo with a divide in the middle just like Reading do.

Yes, I’m that petty.

If and its a big if we're in the same division next season, why give them 10% when we got less than 5%?

I'm sure that City can come up with some cock and bull story as to why we need to limit their allocation - just like they did to us yesterday!

What goes around......come around and all that!

The lowest we as a club can give them is 2k, the police got involved with this game and gave us 1.4k

I’m not convinced by the supposed connection between the size of the allocation and the potential for trouble. If our “troublemakers” are limited to a group of, say, 50 people, if they were all there yesterday what difference would it have made if there had been 3000 of us in total?

Is it really the case that our hooligan element will only cause problems when there are at least 2000 City fans there?

I suppose you could argue that a small allocation reduces the chances of the troublemakers getting tickets. But it certainly doesn’t guarantee it. And furthermore those arrested and convicted based on previous trouble have presumably been banned - so why punish the rest of us?

The reality is, had there been 3000 of us there yesterday, I don’t think the prospect of disturbance would have been greatly increased. It would have just meant more people going home miserable.

Cardiff would've been only too happy to go along with the plod and minimise our allocation, knowing that a 3k away end would've echoed loudly around a soulless, deathly silent one third empty ground, potentially giving us a marginal boost.

About time we start doing the same sort of thing.
