Renewed or not renewed. Please post here

Bristol Rob
Message added by Dollymarie

Hi all,

I know there’s a thread already, but I thought I’d start one so we can gauge how many people on here have renewed so far, or haven’t renewed based on the current pricing.

If you could also post (if you don’t mind) saying if you are or aren’t affected by the pricing announced at this stage.

For example, I would be

“Not renewed and not affected by pricing”

Hope that makes sense.

Apologies @Dollymarie for derailing but can you kindly shove this post back up your arse where I assume it came from. To say you renewed because you are a true City fan implies everyone who hasn't, isn't a true City fan. I care about the fans of this club and want it to be a centre of community in years to come. You on the other hand are doing nothing but being selfish and self indulging yourself because you're alright. I actually couldn't begin to imagine a worse City fan than one who holds that kind of opinion.

A note to the others who have renewed, I'm not taring you with this brush. At least you have voiced your opinion from a place of humility and understanding, rather than from your Ivory tower.

Thank you, saved me writing similar

In which case, stop posting inflammatory comments like “i’m a true fan.” It’s not a competition, and as this thread has shown, the majority of people, affected or not, are standing with their fellow fans, rather than it being a “who’s the greatest fan” contest, and I think you know damn well what you were doing by posting the comments you have done.

And saved me writing similar again. Well said

Of course I've renewed!  A) I'm a true City fan.  B) I can afford it. That said I am aware that not everyone can afford it.

So out of touch you could almost be working for Bristol Sport in the ST Pricing division!

Have renewed , in south stand singing section , I had to pay £50 extra last year , although didn’t get much sympathy on here.  Was told better facilities.  View etc

Same. Remember getting crap for complaining then, people saying how it was about time, you lot always pay the least blah blah blah. You don't have to be old, disabled, have kids to be affected by price rises ... especially when you pay for three tickets on your own.

I agree with people's stance however the club are taking the piss.

When is the "deadline" anyway ?

You're quite right Dolls.

I overreacted to a particular post.

My apologies again.

Not renewed yet. Impacted by pricing. My twin, father and I have risen from about £600 to over £1000.

Wowzers. 40% increase on 3 adult (I assume) tickets. That's horrific.

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—

Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Right on brother.

I'm not an ST but I have to say if I was, I would be impacted with regards to pricing.

Humbled by the support from my fellow City brothers and sisters that aren't "crossing the picket line" so to speak.

No offence to those already renewed as that's totally your choice and I respect that.

Either way, let's keep "sticking it to the man."

Not renewed x 3. Mine is the same in the South Stand, but the 2 x 20 year old girls I go with, their tickets have gone up from £117 to £150! They are struggling to find the money. One is at university and one is on minimum wage.

Both have been budgeting for their tickets next season, but the increases has upset them. I have been dragging them along for about 8 years and they are really undecided if they want to go again, due to the price rises.

Not renewed and not sure if i will.

Rent has gone up £100 a month.council tax up £70 plus all other bills .

Last year i paid £430 and now its been upped to £499 or £526 with credit. How can i justify spending this amount when things are already tight?

I can remember when football was a working mans game but we are getting priced out of it and its left a nasty taste.

Having reasonable knowledge of disability benefits i would think the outrage at the increase in price for a disabled season ticket  is misplaced. Also 150 pounds for a 20 yesr old's season ticket does not sound expensive to me. I feel the concessions have been too generous in the past rather than focus on the increase this year
