I had the opportunity to attend the Georgia 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Sunday and despite the rain suspension of the race I was in awe at the amount of drunk people who spend a lot of money to attend these events. The cheapest ticket was $30, a beer cost $5-$8, Coca Cola $3, parking $10-$50! What's the point of paying so much, getting drunk, and listening to a bunch of rednecks yell at cars. Come to think of it doesn't this sound familiar to football? Less the cars of course.
