Pickle Rick
As of 20th May MOT’s will change in certain ways. Things include EML on and a much stricter approach with diesel vehicles with DPF’s. Some info here: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/mot-changes-20-may-2018 May be worth looking into if your MOT is due in May. Could be worth sorting before the deadline. Some May also say the changes are a way to get rid of many diesels without going down the scrap page scheme route. Rather than a fail, they will be categorised and major or dangerous, with dangerous defects meaning the vehicle shouldn’t be driven away from the testing station. You will be breaking the law. Minor defects are like advisories. These changes are to comply with the EU road safety directive which must be met as we’ve not left the EU.
