Perhaps it's because he's normally the target man, and playing alongside Djuric he's currently unsure of what his role is.

He's a footballer. Tell him to play like one.

More often than not he looks non league. His general forward play is shocking and puts in 0 effort.

It is very strange.

Compare him to Kelly athletically, Kelly glides around the pitch and looks composed with the ball, whereas Diedhiou has it way out in front of him rather than on his foot, and sort of flails around the pitch. I wonder if it's a case of a player who looks nothing like he should be any good but scores a lot of goals somehow anyway.

Which is what coaching is for. Evidently, he did not get the message.

Good to see sympathy as always from people who supposedly support our players. We have no idea how long they've been training this formation. He might have been learning his role for a week at longest. So he's having an off-day, everyone has one.

He's having a bad game, that's all. Best to change it.

A £5m footballer needing to learn how to play in a front two

Seriously ?

You know that's not what I mean. If he's spent his entire career being the target man, and now has to be the "other" striker, that's a completely different way of playing. So yes.

It was a joke, come off it.

I like him a lot, honestly. But he's having a very bad game and deserves criticism for it.

Also, haven't we been playing 4-4-2 all year?
