Is it inevitable that if City ever get promoted another rebrands on the cards?apparently years of history and a proper badge don't appeal to a new fan base. Bristol Robins? Or worse?

Immediately think Speedway. Thankfully that sort of rebranding hasn’t reached football in the same way...yet

How is it inevitable? Because the rugby is changing? Rugby teams have a history of changing their names, football clubs don't, why is this anything to do with the football club?

And the South Stand will be renamed "Robins Nest" with lovely floor to ceiling images of Richard O'Sullivan, Tessa Wyatt and a one-armed Irishman.......you heard it here first!

There would also need to be FA approval and Hull couldn't get that when they tried so it's not a given they'd approve anything now.

Question was is it inevitable? Whys it anything to do with the football club? Somthing to do with that bloke that owns both clubs and seems to be the main catalyst of the rugby name change

Always found Robins to be a totally crap nickname. No different to Bears in that what has the name to do with us?

Whereas The Pirates kind of makes a bit of sense for that other lot up the road as would Rag Tag Nomads in my opinion.

( P.S. ... do Bristol Bears shit in the Kingswoods? )

I wouldn't be surprised if a football club is re-branded at some point in the near future. Hopefully not us, though.

Didn't Hull fans fairly recently have to protest against their owner changing their name to Hull Tigers or something?

He wanted to change the name from Hull City to Hull Tigers or Hull City Tigers I believe, but the FA rejected it.

I have no idea why they did though as to be honest there was no real reason for them not to, other than the fans hated it.

Aside from the obvious MK Dons thing, Leyton Orient must be the most recent club to change?
