The Nottingham Forest FC v Bristol City FC Match Day Thread 45

Tomlin - that tragic breed of player who saves his best performances for games against previous clubs.  Even though that list of ex-clubs is growing every season, it still identifies a pathetic lack of effort the rest of time.

Poor again, midfield as weak as piss water and their passing is awful, some players look as though they are on holiday already mentally, a team lacking as we well know leaders and a game plan.

There you go again with those negative vibes, man.

When was he doing that?

Guess you weren't on the forum when tomlin left then....

I'm assuming it was a reference to bun-gorging disorder (BGD).

Has the lad even been diagnosed yet??

FFS!

Strung out again.

Three units again.

Too easy for opponents to get into our final third again.

Little bit better in final 5-10, when Reid dropped in to make a five.

COD’s first thought is to check or go back.  Actually had a bit of time and space.

Marlon’s passing has been good.

What positives are you seeing? (of course if you are watching).

**** me has LJ pushed Flint up front already?

Leaving a nice space for Tomlin .

Pack , bless him , is playing well .

Kelly looks lost in his natural position of CB.

Bobby too deep to worry the opposition.

Bring Pato on I say .

:whistle2:

Crack papering... they should be at least 3 up by now.

Poor first half.

Started brightly enough before Baker goes off with a head/neck injury. Hopefully he is OK.

Kelly switches across where he has been solid enough, but a little too clingy in the tackle and given away a few fouls.

O'Dowda on for Baker. Bryan to LB and his touch has deserted him today. not having a good game.

Forest grew and grew into the game after Baker's substitution and should be ahead. Tomlin in particular has caused us trouble with 3 or so good efforts - always seems to want to stick it to former clubs. Doesn't help when he winds up the City fans taking a corner in front of them clapping and getting the Forest fans going.

Midfield looking generally no existent - although Walsh has been OK IMO, made as many tackles as Pack I'd guess - but we are over-run, they attack with intent and look like creating chances and half chances at will - Us, we have created a couple of half chances after decent moves, but generally it's knocking against a brick wall of red shirts right now.

Paterson largely anonymous - especially defensively - where they are getting ton's of room down our right side.

Feels a little like half time v Brentford recently. Should be behind, are level, but really only one team looking like they will win it. We get the odd bit of possession, but creating pretty much the square root of zero. We just seem to have no real bite in midfield which gets run through.
