Leaders on the pitch.

GON is the closest we have to one but not even making squads.

We need to invest in one or two but probably won’t in the hope we will all wait patiently for Lloyd Kelly to take up the role.

2020/21 is going to be a strong season for us in leadership terms.

With Conti telling Gareth Southgate that England need Cahill as a leader on the pitch and Steve Bruce crediting John Terry for Villa's success.  Who would you see as a leader on the pitch for City next season ?

Yes, Cahill's leadership has been a key factor in England's success of course.

Conte is naturally talking up his player and yet has often left him out of the Chelsea team this season.

As to us I don't see any of our players stand out as leaders so we need to find some from somewhere.

Otherwise it's more of the same old cosy City culture next season.

A leader on the pitch doesn’t need to be aggressive but a player like Carney at Fulham or Reach at Wednesday who demand the ball. Our two central midfield players have had fair seasons individually but are too similar and fairly run beyond the strikers.

We have also lacked goals from wide players or midfield
