3 shots on target apiece- two of which were goals. 2, perhaps all of Millwall's shots on target were very very weak and easy to save.

Playoff contending clash, 6th v 8th.

Liverpool-Stoke- Top 4 pushers v relegation scrappers.

Shots on target?

Liverpool 2 Stoke 1.

Game is changing, far more controlled and micro managed by coaches than what it was even a decade ago.

One consequence of this is less shots on target. Also Karanka's tactics would contribute to this in our case.

Why are teams having lots of shots on target against us every match then, especially away from home. The games you pick there are one-offs.

Its our poor and ineffective style away from home that's the problem - not that the game is changing.

I agree our setup is poor and particularly away from home.

A fan of 4-4-2, I am not.

My greatest fears is that LJ wants to copy Arsenal’s style.

Absolutely hate it, boring, sterile, plodding, passionless game of risk adverse chess. A reincarnation of SoDs dominate possession and we will win....but don’t look at the league table as that tells you something entirely different.

The game’s moved on from the 90’s. Fast, attacking risk-taking football is the winning formula now go out and deliver it LJ.

Don't see the comparison to Arsenal- Arsenal this season aside tended to boss midfields in UK and are full of excellent technicial players- or were until this season..lacked something and some key components but unsure about plodding in general.

Didn't play a dated 4-4-2 either- still don't.

As for 'chess'

Just how football is heading. The higher you go, the more prevalent it becomes.

Look at a game- Roma-Inter Milan- from 2010. Zonalmarking. Will provide a link soon but 'Chess' is a very apt word!

Just look at the in-game changes of tactics in a big title clash.

Move and response. Counter and counter-counter. Tactical, at its zenith. (That season Inter won treble- yet was outwitted in this game by Ranieri).

Right Petr we are going to put over a centre half over there and we want to kick the ball high at him! Cant see City are anything like Arsenal.
