Players in Marbella 14-22 July, VIP corporate (invitation only) trip organised by the club 19-22 July £7k per person.

 7k? Wonder what you get for that?

Personal services, a Ferrari rental, £2k roulette budget and free drinks all week at least?

Invitation only. Invited to spend £7k - what an invite.

Players deserve a couple of weeks holiday together after all their efforts this season....

All inclusive champagne blow out week in Vegas followed by a self catering week camping in tents at Severn Beach.

Reckon that would be about right..

Reflecting nicely the pre & post January season they gave us.

But luxury trip (albeit 'training') to Marbella? ... surely wtf?  ... when they could have a perfectly acceptable 'kick about' on the beach at Uphill.

The luxury should wait til they complete the job with a promotion or at least a top six finish.

So City have organised a pre-season tour but you can't come unless specifically invited, and for the privilege you have to pay £7,000.

Must be true

Something tells me they don’t want us there.

Joking aside, some are in Vegas now for Mark Little’s stag do. Flint, Pack, Keorey, Frankie, Alby, Waggy, Joe, Wes, Pato to name a few.

....lets hope they have a change of luck then.

There's nothing like hitting a winning streak after a costly spate of losses!

Looks like everyone needs to say sorry to the poster.

Confirmed on the radio it is Marbella the club are going to

I'd sooner send them to a mud-sodden frozen army training course somewhere to man up.

...and yet, it appears to be.

(Though there is an open training session and game).

The £7k thing and invitation only is a big clue tbh. Corporate types the intended audience (IMO of course).

was just thinking the same Dubai Marbella send the useless ***** down Brean for a week

We get enough Brummie grockles here all the year round without having another load of prima Donna's, thank you very much.

If I see LJ on the beach here, I'll let my dog have him as a snack before her proper dinner!

Hi all. Anybody know any more detail? I believe we might be playing a friendly against Malaga but don’t know which day?

@jjcarrera1974 This is all that is out at the moment

https://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/dates-for-pre-season-tour-confirmed/

DATES FOR PRE- SEASON TOUR CONFIRMED

City will visit Marbella in July for a pre-season training camp, as their preparations for the 2018/19 campaign continue.

Lee Johnson and his coaching staff will put their charges through some warm weather training between July 15th and 22nd.

Johnson’s squad plan to face two opposition during the week-long camp in southern Spain.

The head coach has just returned from a four-day stay at the Marbella camp - the club’s training base in July - to ensure all the required facilities are available for his side to step up their training.

Johnson told bcfc.co.uk: “The facility we will be staying at is fantastic. Everything is there that we require and it will be an excellent week, I’m already looking forward to it.

“We are hoping to have two demanding fixtures out there, which will assist our preparation for the start of the season.

“As with last year, we will be hosting a Q&A session at the resort and it would be brilliant to see as many supporters there as possible.

“Marbella is a beautiful place and it’s a great opportunity for the fans to show their support as the players are put through some warm weather training.”

Fans will also have the opportunity to get closer to the team, with a three-day executive package on offer to supporters, including the chance to interact with coaches and players, enjoy golf in the Spanish sun and partake in a gala dinner.

Anybody interested should email Ashton Gate Stadium's managing director Mark Kelly - mark.kelly@ashtongate.co.uk.

The club will announce further details in due course.

Nonsense! Mark is like Joe Maplin and Ted Bovis all rolled in to one.

Hi-de-hi!
