Fans on Villa site celebrating the purchase of a good, young prospect at an excellent price. They're right. Also, that at last they've signed a specialist left back, which might turn out to be a bit more of a surprise.

Pleased for them

Would be a real laugh if Watkins, Eliasson or O'Dowda kept skinning him when they come here at end of September.

That wouldn't even get you 1x Lois Diony.

It might buy two or three?

Thank **** for that

Indeed. And my theory for the complete absence of Mark Ashton is that he's still stuck in France extracting himself from our "right to buy" agreed £5m fee.

Watch him go score 15-20 this season move for £20m and people then have a go for not signing him for quarter the price

Grealish bid rejected. Could this have a knock on effect for Joe?

No. I’m not sure they’d have bothered with a medical if the deal depended on Grealish somehow.

Think they had a sell on for Adama Traore so have got a bit of money recently and JB probably not costing them loads up front.

I just can’t get over what a shit signing Henderson would be.

Its about as exciting as us resigning Kieran Agard.

Can't imagine it's easy to sign a keeper who will only be at best a stop gap. The club are doing the right thing in signing Henderson,  covering for any injury possibility, and allowing O'leary to get a loan move.

Agard scored an equaliser against Hull a few years ago. Lets see Henderson match that

Flipping freezing midday kick off....I didn’t begrudge Kodjia his “Keith Weller” white tights that day at all.  Was also dead jealous of Joe’s moon boots....you should have seen the steam come off them when he got home! ?

This has been one of the worst transfers windows that I can remember.

I give you Jan 18. Walsh, Diony, Kent.

Oh, also how about Jan 17. Djuric, Hegeler, Taylor, Giefer.

We’ve lost half of a leaky championship defence for £12m and got £10m for a bloke who’s had one good season ever.

I’m ******* delighted.

Two of which would have gone for nothing next summer.

£22m for 3 players that cost us £300k.

Please don't give Ashton and Johnson ideas, we have a striker injured and another about to depart and will probably look to sign one, how dare you plant that seed in their heads !

Jan 17 might not look that great now, but Djuric and especially Taylor contributed significantly to keeping us up. None of those players have really worked out for us, but they served a purpose

Taylor has repaid his transfer fee 5 times over. His contribution has been sorely under appreciated IMO.

And that’s before we even consider the hilarity factor. That one day was worth £300k of anyone’s money

The ball for Korey's goal against United was quite literally worth his transfer fee many times over.
