Taunton, Tiverton and Mangotsfield were the heavyweights of the Western League Prem at the time, all playing higher levels now. What was the time of their goal, 96 minutes or something? Yep, it was. A right kick in the teeth. Andy Perrott wasn’t fit, just coming back from a knee injury, and shouldn’t have played imho. They won the South West Peninsular Prem winning 34 games out of 38 scoring 147 goals!! Also beat Bideford 4-1 in the Devon St Lukes Bowl final. Bideford finished 8th in the Southern League West Division. The bloke up Front Hobbs scored 40odd, cant remember if it was him or his brother back in the day that played for England schoolboys.
