Midred
What is this fascination for deciding the championship over one match following a whole season of matches? I appreciate that its to make money but can anyone imagine if they did that in football and Manure were suddenly proclaimed champions after finishing so far behind Man city? Exeter having won the league by 8 points are now only runners up to Saracens who came second! Is it just a way to give a "London" team some honours? MichaelRobartes
I don't really watch much English Premiership but I have to say that the introduction of playoffs has totally galvanised the Celtic League/Pro 12/ Pro 14. I can see why it's not to everyone's taste but rugby doesn't have anywhere near the financial backing that football enjoys. Sometimes you need to be creative.
