Our keeper and back four next season

Dear oh dear...........the silly season really has kicked in.............:disapointed2se:

Its ludicrous to try a predict what City's squad will be next season let alone the back four.

Theres been no developments in or out that we know of despite understandable speculation that the likes of Flint,Bryan, Reid and possibly Pack could be moving on.

Jeez........this forum is sooooo predictable during the summer break...........

Really positive and constructive contribution there Mr 27. Thanks .

Henderson

Moore Vyner Williams Kelly

That back 4 would see us playing league one football very swiftly...will be the most inexperienced back four in the league

People happy with pisano? I'd rather have Little back than him. Surely we need someone like Lichaj as our first choice.

I like Pisano as a wing back but not in a 4.

Not one of those defenders should be a regular first choice starter for City next season.

All playing together? Suicidal, and lambs to the slaughter every week.

aren't we signing McQueen from Southampton when Joe leaves

also why would flint and baker move on baker only just signed and flint has just signed a new contract

Flint signed the new contract to get the significant wage boost given he'd only signed a new contract 12 months earlier if it were about contract length.

= Relegated by Christmas

You really think so? A back four of a £2m England youth international, by far our two best academy products in years and a ROI international would realistically be ‘Relegated by Christmas’? You’re off your rocker Bob. Surely you’re on the wind up here?

Your boring wind ups get worse

Or you are completely clueless

A consideration which has merit

If anyone's off their rocker it's not Bob, it's you.

It's a ridiculous suggestion.

Pre Christmas collapse everyone would’ve agreed but the last 4 months have got everyone on here pretending everyone is league 2 standered, it’s getting quite boring tbh! that defence isn’t actually too bad imo and 100% wouldn’t be ‘relegated by Christmas’

We'd have to score one hell of alot of goals then, because that would be the most inexperienced and weakest defence in the division.

Is it a footballing law that the weakest defence is always relegated by Christmas?

I don’t think so Bob.

All successful teams are hard to score against and are built on solid foundations at the back. We are quite simply not.

Erratic goalkeeper, defensively poor fullbacks and a soft central midfield. Recipe for disaster especially when set up as a flat 442

Exactly. Works the same with strikers. Remember how inexperienced Tammy was and how inexperienced Bobby was as a striker until this season. Both very, very weak.

All the teams that do well in the championship have some experience in goal and in defence.

Derrick Williams has plenty of experience. Proven winner and only getting better.

Zak Vyner excelled at Plymouth and will be ready. Future City captain.

Taylor Moore has a more diverse background and experience than any recent defensive acquisitions. Raring to go.

Lloyd Kelly hasn’t got in the England set up by mistake. Quality and confidence beyond his years.

And we’d concede 100 plus goals with that defence mate I’m with bob on this one

Think he’s saying it would be one of the worst defences ever in the history of English football. A bold and pessimistic claim.

A very realistic and sober evaluation by Monkeh imo. and I'd imagine the vast majority would agree with him.
