Only 6 games there that you’d realistically expect to get to within 2 hours of driving. I wonder how that compares with most other teams in the division..?

It gives us a good sized catchment area for home games, but does make away games trickier for a lot of people.

As the ancient Chinese philosopher Lau Tuz said:

Just like City trying to get into the Premier League

All matches are difficult for me living on the East Coast of Scotland. Always try to get to the gate a few times each season. Northern games are still a good 4/5 hours for me but doable. Does make for a long day though .

Saw this yesterday, an interesting read and we can’t be too dissimilar. Obviously Swansea is closer to us but offset that with the teams that are closer to Brentford and we are probably worse?

Brentford fans will travel 6,950 miles in support of Dean Smith’s side in the Sky Bet Championship next year, by far the most since our return to the second tier. That figure is nearly 400 miles further than last year with Griffin Park closer to France than it is to 19 of our 23 opponents this campaign.

Despite Sunderland and Barnsley’s relegation, the returns of Wigan Athletic, Blackburn Rovers, and Rotherham United mean that Bees fans and players will now face seven round-trips of more than 400 miles next season with Middlesbrough, Hull City, Leeds United, Preston North End, and Bolton Wanderers joining Wigan and Blackburn on that list.

At 252 miles, West Bromwich Albion are the closest of the three sides relegated from the Premier League with the trips to Stoke City and Swansea City both weighing in at more than 320 miles. Fulham’s promotion to the top flight at Aston Villa’s expense on Saturday also means there are now just three trips, those to QPR, Millwall, and Reading, which will be less than 100 miles next time around.

Only the top five won more games on the road than The Bees last season with supporters enjoying some memorable away days at Norwich City, Birmingham City, Bristol City, and Reading over the past nine months.

With the full line-up for next season’s Championship confirmed the next date in the diary is Thursday 21 June which is when we will find out the fixtures for the new season.

You really haven't got the measure of this board yet, have you.we don't start quoting Chinese philosopers.

You're only allowed to slate City, hate LJ to the exclusion of all else and moan constantly at anyone who wants to create some atmosphere or have a bit of fun. Oh, and don't go to any games.

So much better than home, unless you like to see a win.

I know fully well what going away is like, just not been for a few years as family/children etc made it not logistically very easy. Started on a ST again a couple of years ago with my son, now my daughter is starting too this season so we will hopefully make a few away games :)

252 miles from Brentford to WBA? According to distance calculator it is 127...admittedly, it is probably as the crow flies, but London to W.Mids is a fairly direct route.

Maybe they use the same company as CATS?

Being a London club they can’t complain about the distance as you can get back to London a hell of a lot easier than anywhere else in the country.

Unless you drive, getting back to Bristol without coaches must be nigh-on impossible. Being in Birmingham, away games are often a lot easier than for SW based City fans but it can take nearly as long to get to the Birmingham clubs as it does to get to City.

Thank the lord for driving as it makes everywhere more accessible. I still can’t believe you can only go by train back to London from most night games - I can’t even get back from Nottingham by train and that’s practically walking distance!
